As we’ve developed our writing and our blog, we always try to take note of what works really well and what, well, doesn’t! But just as important as writing about things that you think others would enjoy, it’s important to write about things that YOU enjoy as well! Our great friend ToriĀ wrote a post about this the other day, and it got me thinking. I LOVE doing the Styled Sessions on the blog. They are truly one of my favorite things to blog about (besides our fabulous couples and their weddings of course!). So I’ve decided that I want to make these more of a regular occurrence. I’m hoping to make them a weekly installment, if for nothing else that it gets me out of my yoga pants and into something cute at LEAST once a week! ; )
This week’s Styled Session involves a piece of clothing it took me a LONG time to embrace: The Maxi Skirt. I had similar feelings towards Maxi Dresses, but those I was able to incorporate pretty quickly and easily into my wardrobe by finding a few key ones that I really liked. Maxi skirts on the other hand, I just couldn’t figure out. What do I wear them with?!? And I would see these absolutely adorable outfits but I just felt like I could never pull them off. When I saw this skirt at Forever 21 for $12.50 though, I figured I had to at least try it out. I love stores like H&M and Forever 21 for that very reason. If there’s a trend that I’m not sure I love yet, I can grab a “tester” piece from one of these stores to try out. If I hate it, I’m out $12.50 so it’s not a huge risk! And I was pleasantly surprised to find that I am loving the versatility of a maxi skirt! – A

Tori - LOVE it!
i just recently got my first maxi dress & maxi skirt – and was also really unsure about them to begin with. mostly because i’m so short. but i’ve already grown to lovvve how cute & comfy they are.
Shelby Anderson - I see a Shiner in your hand!! If you come visit us in Texas you can always visit Shiner and get fresh brewed beer!!!!
Abby Grace - I hope its not weird that these styled sessions are my FAVORITE kinds of blog posts y’all do! I have a terrible sense of fashion, so seeing outfits that other people put together and knowing where they got each piece is super helpful to me. Thanks for doing these, girl!
