Just Awesome Monday | The Re-Jam

Today’s JA Monday post comes to you courtesy of something I saw on Lauren Wakefield’s blog a few months back. And yes, this may MOSTLY apply to folks that work from home, but I think that even you 9-5′ers can appreciate this too – after all, sometimes you just need a lazy Sunday right? Let me present: The Re-Jam.

So as you know, working from home means that oftentimes, there isn’t REALLY a reason to get “dressed” for the day. The only people that will be seeing me are Jeremy and our dogs, and neither of them cares too terribly much whether I’m in an old t-shirt and yoga pants or whether I am in a dress and cute sandals. There are some days that I just feel like putting in effort (those are usually the days that end up on The Styled Sessions haha!), and then sometimes…there are days where I don’t.

Enter The Re-Jam. The Re-Jam is a way to get yourself out of your pajamas, but into something equally as comfortable and “work from home” appropriate. Basically, pick out your favorite pair of lounge or yoga pants, add a semi-cute top, and voila! The Re-Jam…your comfiest clothes for a day of work at home….just a step above the pajamas you wore to bed the night before.

Not sure how to Re-Jam? We’re here to help. Check out the “inspiration” boards below for some easy ways to Re-Jam yourself on those days where you know the only person you might come into contact with would be the UPS man…and thank us later that you weren’t wearing the same college t-shirt for three days in a row. Happy Re-Jamming! – A

Friday Films

Happy Friday! Jen and I are going into our one weekend OFF for a long time and while she’s in Georgia this weekend I’m holding down the fort back home!

We wanted to send you off into the weekend with a little something different! As you know, we have the pleasure of working with my husband Jeremy of Jeremy Mitchell Cinema at a lot of our weddings. It’s obviously a big win win for everyone involved and we get so excited when we find out another couple has booked Jeremy and Nick! And because we inevitably end up tearing up at our client’s wedding films anyway, we figured we would start sharing them throughout the season with you in our new “Friday Films” series!

First up, Christina +  Josh’s GORGEOUS Kingsmill Resort Wedding!

Next up is the film that Jen and I shot for Lauren + Chris! We shot this one as associate shooter’s under Jeremy’s company and it was SO MUCH FUN! We had a blast getting to be on the video side of things and are excited to help out the JMC boys more in the future!!

Rebekah Hoyt - You girls did an amazing job! It’s so awesome that you can help Jeremy from time-to-time on the video side of things – I love it!!
