“What time is it?” she asked.

“4:08″, someone replied.

“Oh, we have plenty of time!!” And with that, 22 minutes before her wedding was to begin, Page plopped down in a chair to get her makeup done, surrounded by her friends, just as she wanted it. Colorful dresses filled the room, as her dress, handmade by her friends, hung in the corner. If Page was feeling nervous, there were no outward signs. Relaxed laughter, hugs and girlish giggles floated through the air as just outside the window, guests were taking their seats on the pier. When she was ready and climbed into the polka dot golf cart that would escort her to her aisle, she waved to friends and adjusted her mother’s gorgeous veil, quietly soaking in the last few minutes before she took her parent’s arms and greeted her husband at the end of the pier. And as Page approached Shawn his smile widened- the “guns n roses” dress was everything he imagined.

Page + Shawn- we were so excited to be your wedding photographers, and as your plans came into place and we saw everything come together on Saturday, we can truly say your wedding was one of the most unique, creative, and fun we’ve ever photographed. Less about traditions, less about formalities, still very much about the love between two people, it reminded me of what a wedding and a marriage are truly about. Breaking the rules in order to create your own, and always, always staying true to yourselves. We hope you guys have an AMAZING time in Puerto Rico (especially because there’s no hurricanes there!) – A
