Maggie + Beau | Washington, DC Engagement Photographers

It was the summer of 2007, and I was about to leave everything I knew behind in Charlottesville to move to JMU. I was transferring in, and quite frankly, I was terrified. Everyone already knew everyone and had been developing relationships for two years… I definitely felt like the uncool kid who got a pity invite to the party because people felt bad for them. I didn’t even know enough people to have someone to move in with, so I had asked the people at Sunchase if they had any apartments who were looking for roommates. After flipping through a notebook of potential people, I found the girls of 1924B. I moved in over the summer, and Maggie was the only roommate who was also staying during the summer months. We bonded quickly over our love for sleeping in and ABC Family (seriously there were days we sat on the couch the ENTIRE day watching re-runs of Full House and Gilmore Girls eating popcorn), and by the time school started in the fall, the girls who were my stranger roommates had become some of my closest friends.

It had been almost three years since I had seen Maggie, but as soon as I walked into their apartment, it’s like I was just watching TV with her yesterday. I love and value having friendships in my life that I know no matter where we go, or where life takes us, we can always come back together and pick up right where we left off. Seeing Maggie with Beau just made me so happy. He absolutely adores her and I know that he will protect and love her for the rest of their lives. He totally gets my vote of approval! : )

Maggie, I love you and I am SO HAPPY for you and Beau. Not only he is a good location-picker, he treats you like gold, and you deserve nothing less! – A

We started the session off in Georgetown and the light was AH-Mazing. Seriously, good light just makes me happy. A super cute couple doesn’t hurt either.
