He brought home mint chocolate chip cupcakes…her favorite. He placed it perfectly on a plate, but this was no ordinary cupcake. Underneath that cupcake, resting happily under a blanket of chocolate and mint, was the perfect engagement ring. But Mark forgot a little detail about Kristin. She doesn’t eat her cupcakes like most girls, picking it up, unwrapping it, and biting in happily. No, Kristin is no ordinary cupcake eater. She opens her cupcakes and dissects them, eating piece by tiny piece, all the while leaving it placed perfectly on it’s plate.

So Mark sat and waited. And waited, and waited. And right before Kristin opened her mouth to ask him why on earth he was staring at her eating her cupcake, he reached across the table and plucked the cupcake right off it’s plate, revealing the treasure below. The obvious answer was yes, and we can’t WAIT for Kristin and Mark’s wedding next May!

I met with up with these two while Mark was back in town (he’s currently stationed in California), so not only was this a chance for me to get to know more about these two, it was a chance for them to get to hang out and spend some much needed time together. Enjoy some of my favorites! – A

We started out at Just Cupcakes in Virginia Beach since their famous cupcakes are what Mark used to propose!
