Just Awesome Monday | Pandora Internet Radio

I really don’t think I can live without music.  It’s such HUGE part of my life, and with all the driving I do…it’s an absolute necessity in the car.  When I was young, I would listen to the radio, cassette tapes, and when the compact disc came out…OH MAN!  That was the new hotness right there.  I remember the first CD I ever bought with my own money was the Space Jam soundtrack.  Don’t judge.  I loved that movie

Fast forward to when I finally got my driver’s licence and my own car!!!  I loved going for drives and blasting the music with the windows down.  It’s the best!  Fast forward a few more years and we arrive at the iPhone and Pandora app (the topic of today’s Just Awesome post).  Pandora is an internet radio app that streams music that is tailored to each individual person!  You make your own radio stations, and it plays songs it thinks you will like based on the genre/artist you choose.  I currently have 18 stations right now that range from Skrillex to Beastie Boys to Hans Zimmer to Enigma.  It’s so amazing because I can choose what music I want to listen to based on what mood I’m in…and I’m not sitting there trying to change out 48734 CD’s over and over.  Sure, you don’t have any control as to what specific song it will play, but I like that!  It’s like having your radio on perpetual shuffle mode

So if you don’t have Pandora on your phone (because you live under a rock…kidding kidding), go download it NOW.  It has saved me from falling asleep behind the wheel more times that I can even count.  Pandora, entertaining and saving lives, people!  -J
