Ashley + Ryan | Shenandoah Valley Golf Club Wedding Photographers

She cried when she wrote her vows. She cried when she read them to herself alone. She cried when she read them again the morning of her wedding, and she cried when she read them to her husband in front of all their friends and family. Yes, Ashley was emotional about the words she was speaking to Ryan, but she had every reason to be. There stood a man before her that had sheltered her through life’s storms, who was proving to be an amazing father to their beautiful daughter Brynna, a fantastic football rival, her best friend, and everything she had ever hoped for in a man. And although they had already been married for a year, today felt like she was marrying Ryan for the first time. It wasn’t just the pretty white dress or the bouquet. It wasn’t the beautiful ceremony and girls in blue that stood next to her. It was a promise, and a vow, to continue to love as fiercely as they did a year ago, and their second wedding day, forever. So yes, Ashley was a little emotional about her vows, but she had every reason to be.

Ashley + Ryan, it was so amazing to be at your wedding on Sunday. Seeing the joy coming from you both, your friends, your family, and little Brynna, made us feel so lucky to have been a part of it all. We adore you both and are SO happy for you. Oh and Ryan, I’ll be sure to bring you some Bojangles when WVU loses to JMU in two weeks…. GO DUKES!!! – A

So, Ryan is a HUGE, (and that’s an understatement) HUGE WVU fan…I mean, the wedding colors were Blue and Yellow. However, Ashley is a huge JMU fan, because JMU is the best school in the world. So I LOVED how her garter may have been for Ryan, but she kept her loyalties right where she belongs with a sly nod to JMU as well.

Ashley got these amazing robes for her girls- such a cute idea!

Ryan and Ashley chose to do a First Look and I’m so thankful as the weather was off and on raining all day, so doing a First Look allowed us to get some gorgeous images and make sure that we were able to get the photos completed before the skies opened up!

Ashley also chose to do a First Look with her Daddy which I think is SO special and highly recommend for any bride! Just look how beautiful and touching this moment is!

There goes Brynna! You know she has VERY important places to be people!!!

Following family formals, we had a small window where it was still not raining but the light was perfect so we took advantage for a second round of portraits!

Could you BE any prettier?! Nope, didn’t think so.
